Copaiba - The Oil of Unveiling

Jan 22, 2021

By Cherished Muslimahs, Sara Malik & Dawn Sabeeha Hinson

We are in the season of winter, and in the Cherished Seasons course, the habit for January is Healing. And as I do each month, I have chosen the doTERRA oil-of-the-month for this month’s habit – which is Copaiba oil - the oil of unveiling.

Why Copaiba?

Why the oil of unveiling? Firstly, Copaiba invites us to connect to our past. It assists us in unveiling the deeper meaning and messages showing up in our lives. We can use Copaiba to lift the veil and make peace with the past.

If we have deep unresolved feelings of guilt, inadequacies or unworthiness that have been buried, over time, these feelings will colour all our thoughts and behaviours with a less than attitude. Copaiba invites us to begin to unravel and start a process of rebuilding and repairing, which is essential for lasting healing. When we address those firmly established emotions, we will feel free, light, and ready to heal.

Allah’s names

As Cherished Muslimahs, we do everything as an ibadah (worship), and so, we cultivate the habit of healing as an act of worship, seeing our success through Allah’s beautiful names.

As Copaiba uncovers our unresolved issues, it reminds us that Allah knows our issues better than we know them, and we can call upon Al Alim to show us where and how we need to heal.

And when I am sick, it is He who cures me.

Ash Shu'ara ( 26.80 )

Find yourself by connecting to Al-Wajid, He who finds you when you are lost, calling on Him to uncover past traumas and the things we are trying to cover over. And call upon Al Nafi, the one who allows us to benefit through our difficult times.

I love this quote from this month’s Cherished Seasons eBook:

Let His names be your medicine!

Affirmations & Prayers

Affirmations can be used in combination with essential oils and Cherished Muslimah’s other healing modalities to speed up our healing process.

Here are some affirmations to use from this months Cherished seasons e-book to say whilst using Copaiba. (The oil of unveiling)

  • I will be kind to myself
  • I am open to new ideas
  • I am ready to put my needs first

You can use these affirmations as positive reminders to say to yourself when applying/massaging the oils on your body.

You can also use these affirmations prayerfully e.g., Oh Allah you are the opener through Your Name Al Fattah I am open to new ideas to heal myself.

Ways to use

Aromatically

Inhale from the bottle

Diffuse in a petal ultrasonic diffuser,

Place 1 to 2 drops in the palm of your hand rub together and inhale deeply for 3 to 4 breaths.

Topically

Apply 1 to 3 drops as directed over your heart

Apply 1 to 2 drops on your lower stomach, the forehead, crown of the head or the nape of your neck, wherever you feel drawn too.

In closing

To heal, we must first unveil any deep-rooted traumas gently and lovingly, in order for us to discover our true self and purpose. Allow yourself to feel safe and cared for by Al-Mani, who protects us from harmful situations.
