The Blank Canvas Show
On Saturday, 27th June, 2020, the world officially welcomed The Four Traits of a Cherished Muslimah, the new marriage manual written by marriage coach and mentor, Sara Malik.
The launch of The Four Traits of a Cherished Muslimah took place live on The Blank Canvas Show, where Sara Malik was hosted by the dynamic Hassen Rasool and was joined by some wonderful guests: Humera Khan (activist), Shaykh Haytham Tamim, Baber Siddiqi (family therapist) and the publisher of the book, Jamil Chishti (Beacon Books).WATCH THE INTRO
It was only fitting that a book written for women to help them to claim the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as their own prophet and to cultivate a connection with him ﷺ would launch with a mawlid – a celebration of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ through prayer and recital.
And so there was a ladies-only Barakah Mawlid, one hour before the launch. Hosted by Robina Din (Mystic Beats) we had a beautiful address from the loving Ustadah Nishat Lal (Rabata) who spoke about the female companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and how they were excellent examples of loving and empowered wives.WATCH THE SPEECH
The Four Traits - For Men & Women...
What are The Four Traits of a Cherished Muslimah and where do they fit in the Inner Garden?
These traits are for both men and women and help us to be balanced and successful.
Inspiration From The Special Guests...
Why is self-development so important?
Our guests share their knowledge on how to create stronger, harmonious marriages.
Through her wealth of knowledge and experience, Humera Khan talks about the need for both women and men to seek help and to work on self-transformation so that we can be 'protecting friends' of one another, and for women to hold on to the rights they are given Islamically.
Baber Siddiqi talks about the importance of men and women thriving spiritually in order to thrive in our lives and relationships.
When we think and reflect from our souls as opposed to from our egos, and evaluate our situations from a spiritual dimension, our challenges become means for us all to grow in our families.
Men and women flourish when they tap into their unique strengths and turn to the best of role models for inspiration.
Transformation is possible through gradual, continual change.
